Inside News Update: "Your Type B EDC"

BROWNSVILLE, Texas - The Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC) continues to develop into a leading economic development organization for the region. Recently, the city commission of Brownsville, Texas appointed two new board members to serve in the Board of Directors for BCIC.

The BCIC is excited to welcome local businessman, Michael J. Limas, and city commissioner, Ben Neece to the Board of Directors. Both individuals will serve a two-year term with the possible second term if reappointed by the city commission. The BCIC staff and Board of Directors would also like to extend a sincere, "Thank you" to Everardo "Eddy" Galvan, who served as a board member and treasurer from 2015 to 2017.

The organization welcomes with open arms the new year, 2018, with much anticipation as we proceed with new developments happening in Brownsville, Texas.

The BCIC would like to remind all interested individuals and entities that submission deadline for letters of inquiries (LOI) pertaining to the Capital Project grant is January 3, 2018, at 4:00 P.M.. BCIC looks forward in partnering with applicants to ensure the city continues to expand on economic development opportunities in order to continuously improve on the city's sales tax base.
